Marzia Calì 🇮🇹🇬🇧

Teacher in Dancing and Movement

My name is Marzia Calì, a 26-year-old professional dancer and dance instructor from Catania. My journey in dance began at the tender age of 5 with classical ballet, which laid the foundation for my diverse dance repertoire. Over the years, I expanded my skills to include modern, contemporary, flamenco, and hip-hop, embracing the challenge and creativity each style offers.

My dance career has led me to live outside of Sicily for much of my life, driven by my art and the pursuit of excellence. This dedication has not only shaped my professional life but also led me to compete in and win several prestigious dance competitions. Notable among these are my first-place victories at the Hip Hop Dance Championship in Rome for three consecutive years from 2012 to 2014, the WOD Hip Hop crew selection in Germany in 2013, and the World Hip Hop Dance Championship in Las Vegas in 2012. Additionally, I reached the last 16 in the Freestyle Session in Birmingham in 2018.

Educationally, I hold a high school diploma in tourism from ISS Carlo Gemmellaro, a sport dance diploma from ACSI, and I am a certified Level 1 Western Riding Instructor through ACSI. My teaching experience spans several dance schools in both Sicily and Tuscany, including cities like Pisa and Florence. I have also collaborated with kindergartens such as Betzy’s School, Trilly Infanzia, and Nelson Mandela Elementary School, contributing to the early education of young children through dance. Fluent in both Italian and English, I bring my native language skills and international experience to every class, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. My passion for dance and teaching continues to drive my career forward, inspiring both my students and peers in the dance community.
